Just over a week ago, I mentioned that I'd started a new knitting project . I just thought I'd give you an update on the finished article. In my previous post, you'll see I mentioned there are sometimes inaccuracies with the pattern's in the book I was using, in fact, the pattern was so wrong and I had to make so many amendments, I thought it wouldn't matter if I printed my version of it here! Ok, so firstly, I used a pair of 3.25mm needles, approx 75g of wool (I used 2x 50g balls, but ended up with over half a ball left), 1 button and a needle to sew up the seams. BACK: To start, cast on 62sts. I like to use cable cast on method for a neat finish. Knit 4 rows and purl the 5th. Work in st st until the work measures just over 17cm from cast on edge. Creating custom filofax pages

Hi guys, As promised a few days ago, I thought I'd share with you how to custom design your own filofax pages. By using this tutorial you can create custom diary pages for your filofax at little cost but with maximum efficiency from an organising point of view! Please note this tutorial is designed for Mac users with Pages but depending on the interest it creates I can also do a Windows/Word tutorial too. Drop me a comment below if you'd like to see this. Firstly, you'll need to set up your page size in pages. To do this, measure the page size of your current filofax pages firstly. I have a personal filofax, so the pages are 96mm by 171mm. Next you'll need to input these measurements into your page layout section of pages. To do this go to file>page setup>paper size>manage custom sizes. How to make a chicken out of a tea towel

This week I wanted to share a bit of a silly party trick I can do, it usually gets a laugh and is a good 'trick' to teach children - making a rubber chicken out of a tea towel. Bare with me on this one, it's like the fancy towel folding they do in hotels but in my opinion, it's a lot funnier! I learned this trick at about the age of 10 and was amazed with it for a good fortnight or so, making tea towel chickens every time I entered either our or anyone else's kitchens. So first, you take your tea towel and roll the short edges together tightly to meet in the middle. Next, fold the tea towel in half. Then, pull out the centres of all four corners. Lastly, pull the centres outwards in the opposite direction to how you folded the tea towel initially, (like the photo but the two 'free' legs would be pinched together by my other hand if I wasn't holding a camera...)
